European Film Awards Nominations: “Corsage,” “Saint Omer,” & More

European Movie Award (EFA) nominatons are in, and girls are set to compete for the ceremony’s high honors. Two of six helmers within the operating for European Director are girls: Marie Kreutzer for “Corsage,” a biopic about Empress Elisabeth of Austria, and Alice Diop for “Saint Omer,” a portrait of a journalist attending the trial of a girl accused of infanticide.

“Corsage” is one among 5 titles up for European Movie. Carla Simón’s “Alcarràs,” a drama a few household of peach farmers in a small village in Catalonia, additionally scored a nod. Simón and Arnau Vilaró are up for European Screenwriter as nicely.
