French Prosecutors Request Rape Charges

French media retailers are reporting that prosecutors have requested rape prices be introduced towards director Benoît Jacquot in connection to assault allegations made by actresses Isild Le Besco and Julia Roy.

Jacquot was taken into police custody on Monday for questioning on these allegations in addition to assault prices introduced by filmmaker Judith Godrèche. Based on studies, prosecutors haven’t but pressed for prices in connection to Godrèche’s prices. Jacquot has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

Godrèche filed her criticism towards Jacquot in February, shortly after she started talking publicly about her relationship with the Farewell, My Queen director within the Eighties, which she says started when she was 14-years-old and he was 40. Within the wake of Godrèche’s revelations, Roy filed a criticism for sexual assault towards the director, and Le Besco filed a criticism for rape of a minor over 15 years outdated. The alleged assaults happened over a interval between 1998 and 2007.

Jacquot was taken into police custody Monday for questioning. Talking to the media, Jacquot’s lawyer stated he had been allowed to return house Tuesday.

Director Jacques Doillon was additionally taken into police custody on Monday for questioning in a separate criticism filed by Godrèche, who accuses Doillon of abusive conduct through the making of his 1989 movie The 15-12 months-Previous Lady, through which she starred. Doillon denies all allegations. Prosecutors have but to decide on his case.
