Gordon Ramsay Is ‘Lucky’ to Be Alive After Serious Bicycle Accident

Gordon Ramsay has a “very important message for all the dads out there” following a critical bicycle accident this week.

The movie star chef took to his Instagram forward of Father’s Day to share that he’s fortunate to be alive, all due to his helmet, after a “really bad accident” whereas using his bike in Connecticut.

“It really shook me,” Ramsay, 57, mentioned. “Honestly, I’m lucky to be here. Now, from those incredible trauma surgeons, doctors, nurses and the hospital that looked after me this week, they were amazing. But, honestly, you’ve got to wear a helmet. I don’t care how short the journey is. I don’t care [about] the fact that these helmets cost money. But they’re crucial. Even with the kids, a short journey, you’ve gotta wear a helmet.”

The Kitchen Nightmares star mentioned he fortunately didn’t break any bones or undergo any “major injuries,” however revealed an enormous bruise on his torso. “I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato,” he wrote within the put up’s caption.

“Now, I’m lucky to be standing here,” he continued within the video. “I’m in pain. It’s been a brutal week. And I’m sort of getting through it. But, I cannot tell you the importance of wearing a helmet.”

Ramsay, who has loved biking in his free time for years and is an avid marathoner and triathlete, shares six kids along with his spouse, Tana Ramsay.

The restaurateur concluded his caption by wishing everybody a “great Father’s Day and be safe.”
